Our Pastor

On January 27, 1996, Pastor Leonel Rocha Jr. and Sis. Sandra Rocha were joined together in holy matrimony in Pomona, California. The following April, they moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, and began attending Tulsa Lighthouse Church. Their marriage has been blessed with three sons, one daughter, two daughter-in-laws, and four grandchildren. Pastor Rocha felt his call into the ministry and began his preparation under the guidance and tutelage of Bishop Gary L. Howard. He studied and graduated from EXCELL, an off-site extension of Texas Bible College, taught at TLC.

In May of 2008, Pastor Rocha and his church moved into a building at 2219 N. Lewis Ave. Beginning with a group of 8 people, this congregation became a strong vibrant work known as Lighthouse Pentecostal Church. In time, they began to outgrow the building. In the fall of 2012, they moved into their present building. Today, LPC, continues to grow and is a lighthouse to the Tulsa community.

Our Bishop

Bishop Gary L. Howard was born and raised in the Tulsa area. In 1969 he graduated with honors from Texas Bible College, where he also met his future wife, Delores.

In that same year they were married and moved to Beggs, Oklahoma and were involved in establishing a church. They were able to construct a new church building and experienced tremendous growth during their six and a half years of ministry in that small town.

In January 1981, Pastor Howard felt led to establish Tulsa Lighthouse Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The congregation has gone from humble beginnings to a dynamic, growing church that has been instrumental in starting other churches and outreaches throughout the Tulsa Metro area, including LPC.

After 41 years, he retired as pastor of Tulsa Lighthouse Church in July 2022. Bishop and Mrs. Howard continue to reside in Tulsa, and he serves as Bishop over LPC. Bishop Howard has travelled across the globe to support the work of foreign missions, and continues to strengthen Apostolic ministry both domestically and internationally.

Statement of Faith

THE BIBLE

We believe the Bible is God’s infallible Word and is the only valid source of Christian doctrine. (II Timothy 3:16)

We believe it is God’s revelation of Himself to mankind and also tells us how to live a life that is pleasing to Him. (John 5:39; II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:3)

GODHEAD

We believe in one God who was “manifest in the flesh” (I Timothy 3:16) and dwells within us. (II Timothy 1:14; John 14:17)

We believe Jesus is the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. (John 5:43, Matthew 1:21-23, John 14:26)

SALVATION

We believe that salvation comes only through believing and obeying the Gospel. (Mark 16:15-16)

We believe the Gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. (I Corinthians 15:1-4)

We obey the Gospel by identifying with Jesus Christ in His death through repentance; His burial through baptism in Jesus’ name, and His resurrection when we receive the promised gift of the Holy Ghost(Acts 2:38, Romans 6:1-11)

APOSTLES' DOCTRINE

We preach the Apostles’ doctrine (Acts 2:42) and believe in living separated and consecrated lives to our Savior. (Romans 12:1; II Corinthians 6:17)
